Surah Al-Mutaffifin (Those Who Deal in Fraud) - English - Yusuf Ali Surah Al-Mutaffifin (Those Who Deal in Fraud) - Aya count 36
Surah Al-Mutaffifin (Those Who Deal in Fraud) is a Meccan surah of 36 verses. It is surah number 83 in the Mushaf and begins on page 587 of the Madinah Mushaf.

83:1 وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾
Woe to those that deal in fraud,-
83:2 ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾
Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,
83:3 وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾
But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
83:4 أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾
Do they not think that they will be called to account?-
83:5 لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ﴿٥﴾
83:6 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾
A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
83:7 كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ ﴿٧﴾
Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.
83:8 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌۭ ﴿٨﴾
And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?
83:9 كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ ﴿٩﴾
(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.
83:10 وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾
Woe, that Day, to those that deny-
83:11 ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾
Those that deny the Day of Judgment.
83:12 وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾
And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner!
83:13 إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾
When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"
83:14 كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!
83:15 كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.
83:16 ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُواْ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾
Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.
83:17 ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!
83:18 كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾
Day, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.
83:19 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾
And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is?
83:20 كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ ﴿٢٠﴾
(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,
83:21 يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah).
83:22 إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:
83:23 عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):
83:24 تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٢٤﴾
Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
83:25 يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍۢ مَّخْتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾
Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:
83:26 خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌۭ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾
The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:
83:27 وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾
With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim:
83:28 عَيْنًۭا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾
A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah.
83:29 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾
Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,
83:30 وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾
And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
83:31 وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
83:32 وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾
And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"
83:33 وَمَآ أُرْسِلُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
But they had not been sent as keepers over them!
83:34 فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾
But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:
83:35 عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).
83:36 هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?
