Surah At-Tariq (The Night-Comer) is a Meccan surah of 17 verses. It is surah number 86 in the Mushaf and begins on page 591 of the Madinah Mushaf.

86:1 وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ﴿١﴾
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-
86:2 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ﴿٢﴾
And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-
86:3 ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ﴿٣﴾
(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-
86:4 إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ ﴿٤﴾
There is no soul but has a protector over it.
86:5 فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ﴿٥﴾
Now let man but think from what he is created!
86:6 خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ ﴿٦﴾
He is created from a drop emitted-
86:7 يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ﴿٧﴾
Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:
86:8 إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ ﴿٨﴾
Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!
86:9 يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ﴿٩﴾
The Day that (all) things secret will be tested,
86:10 فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ ﴿١٠﴾
(Man) will have no power, and no helper.
86:11 وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ﴿١١﴾
By the Firmament which returns (in its round),
86:12 وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ﴿١٢﴾
And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-
86:13 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ ﴿١٣﴾
Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):
86:14 وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ﴿١٤﴾
It is not a thing for amusement.
86:15 إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا ﴿١٥﴾
As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,
86:16 وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا ﴿١٦﴾
And I am planning a scheme.
86:17 فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ﴿١٧﴾
Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile).
