إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ ﴿١﴾
Când soarele se va chirci,
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ ﴿٢﴾
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ ﴿٣﴾
când munţii vor fi puşi în mişcare,
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ ﴿٤﴾
când cămilele în zece luni lăsate în uitare,
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ ﴿٥﴾
când fiarele vor fi adunate,
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ ﴿٦﴾
când mările se vor revărsa,
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ ﴿٧﴾
când sufletele vor fi împerecheate,
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ ﴿٨﴾
când copila de vie îngropată va fi întrebată
بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ ﴿٩﴾
pentru care păcat a fost omorâtă,
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ ﴿١٠﴾
când sulurile vor fi împrăştiate,
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ ﴿١١﴾
când cerul va fi dat la o parte,
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ ﴿١٢﴾
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ ﴿١٣﴾
când Raiul va fi aproape:
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ ﴿١٤﴾
atunci fiece suflet va şti ceea ce a adus.
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ ﴿١٥﴾
ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ ﴿١٦﴾
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ ﴿١٧﴾
Pe noapte când se întunecă!
وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ﴿١٨﴾
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ﴿١٩﴾
Acesta este cuvântul unui prea-cinstit trimis,
ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ ﴿٢٠﴾
cu putere de la Stăpânul Tronului Nezdruncinat,
مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ ﴿٢١﴾
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ ﴿٢٢﴾
Prietenul vostru nu este îndrăcit!
وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ﴿٢٣﴾
El l-a văzut în zare desluşit;
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ ﴿٢٤﴾
şi El cu Taina nu este zgârcit.
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ ﴿٢٥﴾
Acesta nu este cuvântul unui diavol la pietre luat!
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٢٧﴾
Aceasta este doar o amintire pentru lumi,
لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٢٨﴾
pentru aceia dintre voi care vor să calce drept.
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾
Voi nu voiţi însă decât ceea ce Dumnezeu, Stăpânul lumilor, voieşte!
